Greater Victoria Core

The hub of Greater Victoria is the Core, which is comprised 7 main neighborhoods: Victoria; Victoria West; Oak Bay; Esquimalt; View Royal; Saanich East; and Saanich West.

Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia and is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Greater Victoria has a population of 344,615, the 15th most populous Canadian metro region. Sometimes Victoria is called “a bit of Old England” because of its beautiful gardens and boasts the mildest climate in Canada.

Mild Climate

Victoria has the mildest climate in Canada. It boasts a setting of ocean and mountain vistas and offers numerous economic, cultural and recreational opportunities. The Inner Harbour is the heart of Victoria and for many boaters is the gateway to the City of Gardens.
